New Gadget - Lenovo S10-2

Since I am a heavy traveler.. between Malaysia and Singapore, :D it's not ideal taking the Latitude D630 which is bulky, despite it is also more restricted on the company laptop. I have been thinking to get my own laptop. Been searching around, considering whether should get a tablet, mini or straightaway get myself a small XPS. Finally, due to money concern, I decided to get a Lenovo S10-2 :)

Dinner @ SALT Coffee Shop

Oppss.. The rain non stop at Clark so I couldn't get out to have our dinner. A little lazy to take taxi to go out, so decided to eat at the Hotel, Barbecue again .. :) Not too expensive if compare to have buffet in Singapore, it's just PSP700.

It's just a small cafe at the group floor of Hotel Vida, see the view from my seat.

Here are some of the food I took..

Chicken + Prawn + Pork + Vegetables with Red Wine & Teriyaki sauce :)

Angel's hair spaghetti with Chicken soup.. it's nice but very very salty :)

From the left, tomato puff, corn blanga and chocolate cake :) I like the puff a lot, the corn is so so sweet. Wonder why the food is so salty or so sweet..

Chicken + Pork + Prawn + Sotong Ball + Vegetables with BBQ sauce.

First Day In Clark

It's a very good-bad experience of my journey to Clark today. The flight got delayed because of typhoon Ketsana. I wasn't expect it to be that bad. Turbulence started about 1hr before reaching Clark.

When I touch down, the local told me that it has been raining throughout the day and it is flooded around Luzon/Manila. So it is not possible for me to travel to Makati.

So, it is consider lucky that I fly to Diosdado Macapagal International Airport in Clark and book my hotel there instead of in Makati. Otherwise, it gonna takes time for me to get the refund and re-arrange my lodging if the flight got re-routed to Clark from Manila which many other flight does.

So I finally reach the Hotel Vida at 4PM. Helpful frontdesk immediately check me in so that I can get shower real quick.

The corridor ambient is nice.. I felt the entire hotel is covered by Yellow light.. even in the Restaurant.. I will post it another post later.

My Room number 1401. Any lottery fans? You got luck as you got your number of the day now :)

I requested for double bed.. but it come by Twin bed because the double bed deluxe room is fully occupied. No choice, I just can't sleep with leg and arms open wide then.

The minibar has complementary drinking water provided... Just that the complemtary one is a smaller bottle as compare to the chargeable one in the fridge.

GOS SG BBQ ... The Last One..

Probably the last BBQ for GOS SG team.. Since the team will no longer exists after next few days, which integration go live.

BBQ will be on Pit 64 in ECP.

Edar catered some foods to release our hunger while waiting for the gentlemen to set up the fire.. How lucky we have this food, if not we will die of hunger.. We have fried rice, fried bee hoon and fried noodle :)

Otak which is one of the favorites food here.

Finally, the fire is up and we start BBQ-ing..See the pineapple? It's kindly sponsored by Anthony. And he injured himself while cutting them. We have chicken satay and black pepper chicken wings :) You can see the chicken wings are dark because it's seasoned and are not over cooked :)

Oh, this time we have chicken satay, pineapple with chicken breast now :)

Crab meat with ordinary chicken wings :) So.. some of them are really over cooked.

Sotong! I just remembered I did not take any of it. Looks delicious and spicy.

Canon EOS 500D

I reward myself a camera, Canon EOS 500D last weekend for completing my exam... (*giggle* just want to find a reason to buy it). Let's call this - "At last". I have been aiming it for quite awhile. Missed the Comex 2 weeks ago because I already got my tickets to go back Penang long way back, so probably losing some freebies as compared if I get it during Comex :(

I got the kit and additional EF-S 55-250mm IS lens. But yet I still don't get a chance to go out for shooting yet. You know, I don't have a car here, just not so convenience. I guess I will arrange a trip to somewhere next week :)

It's just out of sudden, I miss the sea. I want to go to the beach. I want to touch the sand.
So I drive to Penang and spend my entire day at the Penang island, walking at Gurney Plaza, shopping and drive to my final destination of the day, Batu Ferringhi beach to catch the sunset.

It really has been some time ago, probably a year since the last group trip that I never been to the beach. See below, what a nice scene I capture from my phone :)

Been walking around Bugis area and drop by Iluma. I have never been to this mall before, and regret that I walked in.. Haha.. Chia bought dresses again and I continue to become ah 4 :)

After the shopping spree, we wanted to watch movie but it seems like the show time just not fit what we want. So we continue to walking around to seek for restaurant for our dinner. At last, we went to Asian Kitchen on 5th Floor (perhaps I remember the level correctly).

Though it seems like the chicken and duck is it's signature, we don't want to take so much meat now. Been having too much meat for the past few meals.

We ordered Village Toufu. It is delicious. Not too hard and you can feel that the toufu melted in you mouth.

Four season bean with salted fish. Hehe another favorite of mine - salted fish. It has a lot of salted fish makes it a must consume with other main dishes, otherwise, you might feel too salty. Luckily I have my fried rice!!

My favorite! Fried rice. Look at the picture on the menu was quite special, though the outcome is not as special but still, the fried rice is tasty :)

Suan La Mian, Sour Spicy Noodle which is girls favorite. Hem.. It's not as nice as what we expected.

Avocado snow :) Both of us wanted to order the same drink, and chia gave in to take dragon fruit chill and she said her's is better.. Okok.. She win. Hers taste better :)

A late afternoon, we have finally finished all the work at home.
So we are going out for a late lunch cum tea.
I am so hungry and ordered additional dishes...

We get up a little bit early in the morning to hunt for clothes and brunch.. Stopped by Xin Wang and felt that wanted to take some rice and noodle today. You know, we are Chinese. :)

At night of the day, we meet up with my old housemates back in KL days. Apparently, almost all of my housemates are now working in Singapore. We went to Chicago;s Steakhouse, as recommended by them, it was Yan Ching's favorite place according to Teck San. It was quite nicely decorated with nice music and also tv.

At last, we decided to take up the 1 for 1 offer, ordered fish and chips + Grill chicken. The portion is just right for us after the salad. Let's take a look..

Last month, I was trying to post something about my new laptop purchased during the PC Show. But I couldn't devote some time for it. So, in conjunction that the laptop is one month old with me, I make up something here.

The laptop is not intended for my use, I bought it for my mum :) The title is a little bit mis-leading. I doesn't make much differences I think. :)

While walking around during the fair, I was actually tempted by Lenovo S10 for her and HP DV4 for myself. It's a little bit too heavy for my pocket to buy 2. Though, I thought of getting a netbook for her. However, she wanted to have a DVD ROM with it. After much consideration, I think quite troublesome for her to have 2 separate things to take care of. So decided to get a notebook for her.

The only few things that lack off would be Bluetooth and a better graphic card. I guess that's not so important for her at the moment. This laptop actually has an extended warranty up to 3 years.
