A late afternoon, we have finally finished all the work at home. So we are going out for a late lunch cum tea. I am so hungry and ordered additional dishes...
My honey lemon :D yum yum..
Side dish.. bake bread!! Her favorites .. and mine too.
Dry curry noodle with slice chicken.. Not so nice though. But you take everything while you are hungry, don't you?
Fu chuk, one of the side dish I ordered.. because I wanted to eat.. :D
Ah I missed a photo of fried koay teow, my favorites.. See if I have chance to get it next time I visit again.
We get up a little bit early in the morning to hunt for clothes and brunch.. Stopped by Xin Wang and felt that wanted to take some rice and noodle today. You know, we are Chinese. :)
If you know her well, she need vege :P There she goes.
Quite a cute style using metal cup for cold drinks :) She has 'Cham' in the metal cup and I have my tea.
At night of the day, we meet up with my old housemates back in KL days. Apparently, almost all of my housemates are now working in Singapore. We went to Chicago;s Steakhouse, as recommended by them, it was Yan Ching's favorite place according to Teck San. It was quite nicely decorated with nice music and also tv.
At last, we decided to take up the 1 for 1 offer, ordered fish and chips + Grill chicken. The portion is just right for us after the salad. Let's take a look..
Fish & Chips... Crispy but could be too little for a guy.
Have been busy with my stuff for some times... Just have no time to organize my pics until now, it's bad that I forgot what I ate. I am trying to remember.....
My belated birthday lunch @ Cafe Cartel
Hem.. Too long ago, guess is satay sauce macaroni? Its just kind of weird combination despite the taste is nice.
What do you normally do during your birthday? Hem.. It was a lonely one this year... Playing badminton.. Eating silver fish fried rice.. Nothing much this year... Luckily there isn't any critical incident coming to my queue today so I can leave on the dot. But but but.... I am looking forward for the belated celebration :)
Last month, I was trying to post something about my new laptop purchased during the PC Show. But I couldn't devote some time for it. So, in conjunction that the laptop is one month old with me, I make up something here.
The laptop is not intended for my use, I bought it for my mum :) The title is a little bit mis-leading. I doesn't make much differences I think. :)
While walking around during the fair, I was actually tempted by Lenovo S10 for her and HP DV4 for myself. It's a little bit too heavy for my pocket to buy 2. Though, I thought of getting a netbook for her. However, she wanted
to have a DVD ROM with it. After much consideration, I think quite troublesome for her to
have 2 separate things to take care of. So decided to get a
notebook for her.
I got this laptop from Harvey Norman, I think it's quite a good deal though.

The only few things that lack off would be Bluetooth and a better graphic card. I guess that's not so important for her at the moment. This laptop actually has an extended warranty up to 3 years. So I think with the value of S$899, the price is almost there. Probably it could be cheaper if during the special deal hour.
Here is a short video converted from the flash from HP website that tells about CQ40.
As promised, here are some photos that taken by Anne during our hang out at SweetChat. Here's the shop :)
Peanut Tang Yuan will Glutinous rice. It's not outstanding but still taste nice.
Passion Fruits :D by me.
Durian Pancake. Specially introduced by Sam. When you dip it into the chocolate, it'sso yummy.
Bubur Cha Cha.. It's just normal I guess. What they serve isn't as what it shows in the picture. The portion is so little, I think it's not enough for Anne.. :D
Pulut Hitam with Durian. Yet another durian food, this is also another specialty for this store. I have not take it before elsewhere. You will need to mix the durian with pulut hitam together. That isn't all. With the coconut milk, I think this is one of the specialty here.
After our K session, Sam suggested a place to sit down and chit chat, a place that I have been passes by numerous times while I was in Midvalley, SweetChat.
I never expect that the small little store at the corner could actually get full house. In the end, we finally got a table and ordered a lot of durian flavored food. You can see from the picture.
Nothing much else we talk, while me and my girlfriend went for bio break, we just lost contact with Sam and Anne. We guessed both of them just happily doing their shopping and forgot about us. Anyway, I got to rush because I have a train to catch.
So see you guys around next time.
There are some photos taken by Anne. I was too lazy at that time. Let's see if she agreed to let me put them here.
One day, Anne asked me a question. Why can't she post comments on my blog?
A very good one, indeed. I have disabled comments on all post due to a critical bug. It has been disabled for quite awhile. When it hit mt-comments.cgi script, httpd will takes up all the server load, causes the server hung and eventually crashed. I have been working hard to get it done but there is no luck. I started MT on v4 and did not find any similar bug on this version. Most of the bugs on this script referred to v3.2
It leave me no choice but to backup existing MT directory and use a fresh copy of all MT files. I am a bit reluctant to do so as I was hoping to find a solution online because there will definitely have file missing after the work and quite some works to do on the template. Since it has been couple of weeks, I just have to do it now. It took me awhile to patch up those missing files and templates, and any modification I did to the tmpl file.
Now, posting comments works well. I have re-enabled the authentication method as well as adding Facebook Connect to become one of the option to login to post comment. However, this time, I found out that Facebook Connection image does not display on IE wherelse it will display while using on FireFox or Safari. Of course, it can be authenticated successfully while not using IE.
While I googling again for this issue, I see most of the people referred to chromless template file but it doesn't seems to work for me which I have already added the facebook namespace on the html tag. Anyone has any thought on how to resolve this problem?
In the initial phase of H1N1 (2009) outbreak, temperature screening was implemented at the border checkpoints to contain the spread of the virus into the community. As Influenza A (H1N1-2009) has become endemic among global communities, and with localised community spread in Singapore, temperature screening at our borders is now less useful than before there was local community spread. As such, these temperature screening measures at our border checkpoints will be discontinued with effect from Saturday 11 July 2009.
